Watercolor Travel (or home views) Journal Workshop Saturday April 26th
Saturday April 26th from 9-12:30 please join me in my new Deland studio. Weather permitting, we will begin by painting a little scene outside in the wildflower meadow that blooms in the spring!
If rain it will only be in the studio.
After a few warm up watercolor sketches we will go in to the studio. You will bring photos on your device from either travel or home views to work on in the studio in a watercolor sketchbook. Canson 7 × 10 or any size watercolor sketchbook is affordable. Make sure it is NOT a mixed media sketchbook for this class. A watercolor paper sketchbook is needed. Double check this before you buy one since they are similar.
Pick simple high contrast photos if you are a beginner. Basic sketching knowledge a prerequisite.
From there I will show you how to do a light sketch and save the details for the watercolor. Some basic scene sketching necessary and some beginner experience with watercolor. For those who or more advanced, more detailed sketches and photos can be used.
A snack is included and you may bring snacks and your water bottles. Workshop will be finished before lunch.
The backyard studio is not attached to the house, so all students must be able to walk to the house and climb a few steps up to go to the porch bathroom door.
