Laura K. Bohn is a professional artist living in Deland, Florida.

She has exhibited at the Florida Museum for Women Artists,
De Land Museum of Art, IGM gallery in Los Angeles and Wolfe Gallery in De Land, Florida.

 Some of the art festivals she has exhibited at includes Images, Mount Dora, Gaspiralla, Fall Festival of the Arts in De Land, Maitland Art Festival, and others.  

Laura has taught and facilitated workshops and classes at De Land Museum of Art, Ormond Memorial Museum of Art, The Hub,  Casa Montessori School, Children's House Montessori School and for the Atlantic Center for the Arts.  
She has been an art educator for many years and is now a registered art therapist ATR available for facilitating Arts and Wellness workshops and sessions.

Since Laura was a little girl, the dance of light in the leaves of the trees above has inspired her to be captivated by the natural world!   She never grows tired of watching the light dance on water, or on the side of a mountain.  One of her artistic goals is to have paintings that are reminders of how important it is to see the world as the Native Americans did and become keepers of the earth. 
Music and dance are also great inspirations as that melodious universal language brings humans together in 
communications of rhythm and sounds.
Archetypal symbols and personal symbols tell stories! Symbols are one of the first forms of written story telling. Through symbols (seen on museum page of "African Goddess" painting and "A Primitive Future") in painting, one can not only tell a story but learn and relate to other's story that are so important to the human experience.
Born in Ohio, Laura moved to Fort Lauderdale when she was seven years old and fell in love with swimming, body surfing and being outside.
She pursued art from in early age and studied art in college and various professional workshops before showing art at festivals, galleries and museums.  She also paints murals and commissions. 
Laura resides in Deland, Florida with her family.
